~Flat Tire~ (Plus: today in history, word for the day, today’s horoscope, Maxine and Herman)

This guy is driving down the road when he runs over something and gets a flat tire.  He pulled over to the side of the road right in front of a state mental hospital.  He opened the trunk, took out the spare tire and proceeded to remove the lug nuts from the flat tire.  He set the nuts on the curb.

 

He pulled the flat tire off the wheel and when he did he knocked all 5 lug nuts into the storm drain.  Now what.  All this time, a patient from the state mental hospital is sitting on the wall watching him.

 

The guy doesn't know what to do, when the patient said, "Hey buddy, why don't you take one lug nut off each of the other three tires and use them to mount you fourth tire."

The guy looked at him and said, "That’s a great idea."  I never would have thought of that.  If you are so smart, what are you doing in a place like that?  The guy on the fence said, “I’m crazy, not stupid.
